Restaurant India News: A Taste of Italy Arrives as Mikiamo Limoncello Launches in Bengaluru

Mikiamo Limoncello, India’s first Limoncello, has officially entered the Karnataka market after establishing a strong presence in Goa, Delhi, and Haryana. The brand brought together industry leaders, alco-bev enthusiasts, and creators, filling Bengaluru with the zest and vibrancy of Italy’s iconic lemon liqueur.

Launched in 2023 by husband-and-wife duo Aakriti Kochhar Sachdeva and Raghav Sachdeva, Mikiamo has swiftly built a niche by blending global authenticity with local appeal. Made with lemons from Italy’s southern coast and crafted using a time-honoured recipe, Mikiamo Limoncello is bottled in Goa with the modern Indian palate in mind.

Bright, zesty, and versatile, it shines just as well sipped neat after dinner as it does over ice or mixed into refreshing cocktails. This adaptability has quickly made it a go-to for bartenders and cocktail lovers eager to experiment with new flavours and formats.

“Limoncello is more than just a drink — it’s a ritual of togetherness, warmth, and celebration,” said Aakriti Kochhar Sachdeva, Co-founder of Nuvola Spirits. “With Bengaluru’s thriving bar culture and appetite for new experiences, we’re excited to see Mikiamo become part of how the city drinks and celebrates.”

The entry into Karnataka marks a pivotal milestone in Mikiamo’s growth journey. As one of India’s most progressive beverage markets, Bengaluru offers fertile ground for brands that are redefining boundaries and introducing global experiences to Indian consumers.

Mikiamo’s vision extends beyond being a single spirit — it’s about reshaping India’s relationship with liqueurs and nurturing a culture that celebrates craftsmanship, flavour, and discovery. This debut is more than just the arrival of a premium liqueur as it signals the beginning of a cultural shift, one that elevates everyday drinking occasions and sets the stage for a richer, more dynamic spirits scene in the city.
