Popeyes®, the iconic Louisiana-born fried chicken brand, has opened a new restaurant at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. 

The launch marks the brand’s fifth restaurant serving the Chandigarh–Mohali–Panchkula Tricity, reinforcing Popeyes®’ focused expansion across high-growth markets in North India, a region with established demand for international quick-service restaurant (QSR) brands.

The Chandigarh launch is part of Popeyes®’ ongoing expansion in India, strengthening its retail presence through prominent, high-footfall locations. Punjab Tricity remains a priority market within this roadmap, supported by steady consumer demand and consistent performance across existing restaurants in the region.

At the newly opened Elante Mall outlet, consumers can experience Popeyes® signature Louisiana-style Cajun flavours and its globally recognised crunchy fried chicken. The menu includes the brand’s iconic Chicken Sandwich, Signature Fried Chicken, and Boneless Chicken with International Flavours, along with the popular Hot & Messy range, Flavour Burst Burgers, and a thoughtfully curated selection of vegetarian options developed specifically for Indian preferences. All chicken is prepared using fresh cuts, marinated for 12 hours, and hand-battered and breaded to deliver Popeyes’ signature Cajun crunch. 

To build a stronger cultural connection in Punjab, Popeyes® has collaborated with popular Punjabi singer and actor Jassie Gill as part of a digital-first social media integration. Known for his youthful appeal and love for indulgent flavours, Jassie Gill was a natural fit for the brand. In the campaign film, he is seen as a genuine Popeyes® fan, having experienced the brand in international markets such as the USA and Canada, and sharing his excitement about finally having Popeyes® closer to home.
