Pizza Express to reopen 44 restaurants from July 9

Casual dining chain Pizza Express to reopen 44 restaurants for dine-in across UK and Ireland.

This announcement comes soon after the local government gave the permission to reopen their seating areas once again from July 4, easing the lockdown rules.

The pizza chain was already open for delivery and take away fromover 35 restaurants.

The restaurant chain is also maintaining the social distancing measures when it comes to seating arrangements. Other changes include regular health checks of team members, hand sanitiser stations and heightened hygiene procedures.

It has also introduced online payment system to minimise contact between customers and staff, although the company hasn’t said if it’s still accepting cash.

Pizza Express has been reopening its branches in phases. It currently owns 490 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
