Starbucks to open few stores across US
Starbucks to open few stores across US

Global coffee major Starbucks is reopening stores around the US and Canada starting today.

Starbucks has closed most of its stores or were offering limited service over the past few weeks because of the pandemic.

Also, it opened many cafes few weeks ago for takeout orders.

Starbucks stores that did remain open were near hospitals and other first-responder areas, or only operated via drive-thru or grocery stores.

The locations that reopen Monday will follow CDC guidelines.

Workers will wear protective gear and undergo temperature checks before their shifts.

Additional select locations will offer expanded pick-up, drive-thru and delivery order options.

Customers are encouraged to use the Starbucks app to order ahead of time.

Starbucks will also follow in-depth cleaning protocols.

The company says it plans to reopen 90 percent of its U.S. stores by June.
