Restaurant India News: Not Rocket Science Launches India’s First Protein Water Combining Whey Isolate and Electrolytes

Not Rocket Science, a functional nutrition brand focused on reimagining ready-to-drink protein, has introduced its latest offering—Protein Water. Positioned as a first-of-its-kind product in India, it brings together 100% whey protein isolate, and a complete electrolyte mix in a single, clear beverage. The drink is available in three flavours—Lemon Lime, Mango Orange, and Mixed Berry—and is priced at ₹199 for a 500 ml bottle. It is currently available across leading online platforms including Amazon, JioMart, Swiggy, Blinkit, and Zepto.

Each 500 ml serving contains 22 grams of whey protein isolate, known for its high purity and rapid absorption due to the removal of fats and fillers typically found in whey concentrate. Complementing this is an electrolyte blend of up to 1300 mg per bottle, featuring potassium, magnesium, sodium, and chloride to help restore minerals lost through perspiration and support hydration and endurance. The formulation also includes 5 grams of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) per serving.

Traditionally, protein intake and hydration have been addressed through separate products—protein shakes that are often heavy and inconvenient during activity, and sports drinks that offer hydration but limited nutritional value. Protein Water aims to bridge this gap by combining both functions into one easy-to-consume beverage. Designed to be light, clear, and free from the typical chalky texture of protein drinks, it is suitable for consumption during workouts, runs, cycling sessions, or outdoor activities like trekking. The product is formulated with zero sugar, zero fat, no artificial flavours, and no preservatives.

The three variants are crafted to deliver a refreshing taste without excessive sweetness, making them suitable for repeated consumption during extended or high-intensity activities. Lemon Lime contains 1300 mg of electrolytes and 115 kcal per serving, Mango Orange offers the same electrolyte content at 107 kcal, while Mixed Berry delivers 1200 mg of electrolytes at 110 kcal. All variants are sweetened using erythritol and stevia, are free from added sugar, and are certified by FSSAI. The beverage is packaged in recyclable 500 ml PET bottles for ease of use on the go.

With this launch, Not Rocket Science is looking to establish a new segment within India’s sports nutrition space—one that integrates protein intake and hydration into a single, convenient format.
