Abhishek Malik has been appointed as the Director of Operations at JW Marriott, Pune. In his new role, Malik will lead business and strategic operations of the property and will be responsible for implementing the brand service strategy and initiatives. He will also work with various department heads to develop and implement respective departmental strategies.
During his 17 years in the hospitality industry, he has been responsible for managing Rooms Division verticals and Food & Beverage assets of a number of leading luxury hotels in India.
Malik began his journey with The Oberoi, New Delhi, and has also worked at The Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur, opened The Leela Palace New Delhi, Fortis Memorial Research Institute Gurgaon and Palladium Hotel, Mumbai. In his most recent role, he was General Manager Hospitality at Mustafa Sultan Enterprises LLC, Oman.

Marriott On Wheels is a special endeavor to take the gourmet delicacies from the heart of the hotel’s kitchens to the guests’ homes.
The menu features a wide selection of signature delicacies from JW Kitchen, Vintage Asia and JW Lounge.
With a focus on encouraging healthy eating and helping the community to boost immunity, the all-day menu includes choices such as the “Immunity Boosting Bowl of Broccoli and Quinoa” and the “Heart-friendly Palm Hearts and Avocado Salad”.
Additionally, the stellar culinary team at the hotel have come up with a whole new “Wellness Menu”, which offers power-packed, healthy food choices, complete with the nutritional components and calories detailed under each item.

Marriott International has started “Marriott on Wheels” delivery service initiative that will be now available in more cities through an agreement with Swiggy.
This association would be the first of its kind for Marriott International hotels across India, as they adapt to this new model for their home delivery service. Marriott International secured preferred placement on the Swiggy network, making it a mutually beneficial tool that allows outreach and exposure to thousands of customers using the platform.

The overall lifestyle changes and the manner in which we do business will have us taking a step out of the box, to ideate and create new experiences that are meaningful, valuable and convenient for our customers,” said Neeraj Govil, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International.
To start with, over 20 hotels in cities such as Bengaluru, Kolkata Chandigarh, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Agra, Pune, Mumbai, Coimbatore and Goa will be listed on the food aggregator’s platform. Each hotel has introduced a thoughtful and compact Marriott on Wheels menu consisting of their signature dishes, most suited for safe consumption and secure deliveries.

This facility will extend to additional cities, as more hotels join the service provider.
