It made $3.24 billion in China/Asia Pacific revenue in the past financial year while operating income was $764.8 million, according to the report calculation. A breakdown for China alone was not immediately available.
The Japanese technology conglomerate’s talks with Zomato come six months after it first held conversations exploring a possible funding of up to $200-250 million in Bengaluru-based Swiggy.
The annual study includes more than 3,000 brands across 300 categories ranging from life insurance and luxury automotive to mid-market hotel and TV network, asked more than 77,000 consumers to rate randomly selected brands for familiarity, quality etc.
The new campaign builds on the need for the brand consumers to “Own Their Fizz” by being bold, confident just like Appy Fizz and is targeted towards the youth across India.
The company reported 27 percent rise in its revenue to Rs 780 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 612 crore it posted during the corresponding period last fiscal.
