Swiggy has strengthened its leadership with the appointment of Ravi Pratap Singh as Head of Business Development – Real Estate and Facilities, as it steps up expansion across food delivery, quick commerce and emerging service verticals.
Singh joins Swiggy after wrapping up his tenure at Eternal Limited—the parent entity of Zomato and Blinkit—where his stint concluded on January 31.
In his new role, he will lead Swiggy’s end-to-end real estate strategy, focusing on building, scaling and optimising physical infrastructure in priority markets.
His responsibilities will span strategic site selection, property acquisition, lease negotiations, facilities planning and long-term asset optimisation, all aimed at supporting Swiggy’s expanding operational footprint.
The role is expected to be pivotal as the company deepens its presence across cities and continues to invest in infrastructure to drive faster deliveries and operational efficiencies.
Singh brings extensive experience in creating and managing large-scale real estate networks for consumer-facing digital platforms. During his time at Eternal Limited, he played a key role in strengthening the infrastructure backbone for Zomato and Blinkit, particularly in high-density urban markets critical to quick commerce and hyperlocal delivery.
The appointment comes amid growing emphasis on real estate and facilities as a strategic growth driver. As delivery timelines shrink and quick commerce scales, access to well-located, flexible and cost-efficient physical assets has become a crucial competitive advantage.
With Singh leading the function, Swiggy aims to more closely integrate infrastructure planning with business growth as it enters its next phase of multi-format and multi-geography expansion.
