Rohit Aggarwal, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd., has announced his retirement after 24 years with the company. His departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the growth of one of India's leading food and beverage companies and a well-known name in the hospitality sector.
Founded in 2002 by Amit Burman and Rohit Aggarwal, Lite Bite Foods began with a vision to bring world-class dining experiences to India. Over the years, the company has expanded into a major foodservice group with 19 owned and five managed brands, operating more than 160+ outlets across 19 cities in India and several international locations, including Singapore, Washington DC, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Bangkok.
Under the leadership of the two founders, Lite Bite Foods grew into a large hospitality business employing over 4,500 people and serving more than one crore guests. While Amit Burman focused on the company's strategic and financial direction, Rohit Aggarwal played a key role in operations, brand development, and business expansion.
“Every brand we built, every team we grew, every guest we welcomed - it was all driven by a single belief: that food has the power to bring people together in the most beautiful way. I leave with a full heart, immense gratitude for every person who has been part of this journey, and complete faith in the extraordinary team that will carry this company forward,” said Rohit Aggarwal, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Lite Bite Foods Pvt. Ltd.
Together, the founders have built a diverse portfolio of successful brands such as Punjab Grill, YouMee, Zambar, Tres, Dos, Hahn’s Kitchen, Zambar, Street Foods by Punjab Grill, Asia Seven and The Artful Baker among others. These brands have become known for their distinct identities, quality offerings, and strong culinary standards, helping establish Lite Bite Foods as a prominent player in India's restaurant industry.
