Zaro, a modern bakehouse and gifting studio has opened in the heart of Bandra, offering a nostalgic yet contemporary take on handcrafted indulgence. Positioned as “a little bakehouse with a big heart,” the brand aims to revive the charm of slow-made treats and meaningful gifting.
Founded by a single mother taking her first step into entrepreneurship, Zaro is built on personal emotion and instinct. “I wanted to build a space where food and gifting felt warm again where every jar, cookie, and box carried emotion,” she says. What began as a personal dream has grown into a thoughtful, detail-driven brand rooted in craftsmanship.
Zaro’s menu draws from four generations of family recipes, with everything made in-house using their own butter and ghee and completely free from preservatives. Its small-batch gifting collection features signature items such as traditional garlic chutney, Kair Sangri pickle, artisanal cookies, and patisserie-inspired desserts.
The bakehouse also offers a diverse selection of savoury and sweet creations, including the Leek & Mushroom Pie, Butter Chicken Pie, Creamy Chicken Oven-Fresh Pie, Spinach & Corn Oven-Fresh Pie, and the Zaro Special Cheese Korean Bun. Desserts range from the Caramel Tres Leches Royale and Viennese Sacher Torte to the floral Ispahan Entremet, Royal Praline Patisserie, and Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.
With its cosy neighbourhood design, contemporary-meets-nostalgic packaging, and curated hampers with handwritten notes, Zaro positions itself as a personalised gifting destination. The space aims to become a familiar Bandra favourite where heritage recipes meet modern elegance.
