Globus Spirits Ltd. has announced the launch of DŌAAB Expression 02: The Old Man & The Blossom, the latest addition to its acclaimed DŌAAB Indian Single Malt Whisky Series. Produced by The India Craft Spirit Co., this limited-release whisky marks another milestone for the brand’s craft-focused portfolio.
Distilled at the India Craft Spirits Co. facility in Behror, Rajasthan, DŌAAB Expression 02 is crafted using sustainably sourced Indian six-row barley and matured in Mizunara oak casks imported from Hokkaido, Japan. This makes it the first Indian single malt whisky to be aged in Japanese Mizunara Oak — a unique collaboration between Indian distilling expertise and Japan’s cask-making heritage. Only 500 casks of this special edition have been produced. Drawing inspiration from a Japanese fable that values wisdom and time, the whisky reflects balance between patience and transformation.
Shekhar Swarup, Joint Managing Director, Globus Spirits Ltd., said, “With DŌAAB Expression 02, we continue to explore the art of storytelling through whisky. This expression represents a dialogue between two cultures, India and Japan, and between two philosophies, heritage and innovation. Each bottle is a meditation on time, patience, and craftsmanship, brought together by our belief that great spirits are born when tradition meets curiosity.”
P.S. Gill, CEO, Consumer Division, Globus Spirits Ltd., commented, “India’s single malt category is growing in double digits, driven by evolving tastes and an increasing sense of pride among consumers. With DŌAAB, our vision is to redefine what an Indian single malt can stand for, globally relevant, deeply authentic, and unmistakably crafted.”
DŌAAB Expression 02: The Old Man & The Blossom made its debut in Gurugram with a price range of Rs 3500 – 3800. It will soon be rolled out across premium outlets in select Indian markets. Each bottle of this limited-edition release highlights Globus Spirits’ commitment to craftsmanship and authenticity.
The whisky features floral aromas with hints of vanilla on the nose, a smooth and velvety palate, and a refined, long finish — offering a sensory experience that reflects the evolving standards of India’s premium single malt segment.
