Restaurant India News: CYK Hospitalities Expands Its F&B Portfolio with Thamel at AIPL Joy Central

CYK Hospitalities, a leading F&B consultancy firm, has announced the launch of Thamel, a new fine-dining restaurant at AIPL Joy Central, Sector 65, Gurugram. The latest addition to Gurugram’s dining landscape reflects CYK’s philosophy of building distinctive F&B destinations that merge authentic cultural expression with modern design and operational efficiency.

Founded by entrepreneur Piyush Agrawal, Thamel represents his passion for Himalayan cuisine and his admiration for Western dining aesthetics. The concept aims to create a bridge between the warmth and authenticity of Himalayan flavours and the refined sophistication of continental dishes. CYK Hospitalities collaborated with Agrawal to handle the end-to-end development of the restaurant, including concept creation, menu planning, staff training, interior design, and brand identity.

Thamel focuses on locally sourced ingredients and maintains the traditional Himalayan palate while integrating contemporary culinary techniques. Its menu features a diverse selection of Himalayan and Continental dishes — from momos and laphing to elegantly plated Western fare — complemented by coffee and an extensive beverage list. The restaurant seeks to bring the essence of Himalayan hospitality to an urban, modern dining setup.

Piyush Agrawal, Founder, Thamel, says, “Thamel is more than a mere dining establishment; it is a mirror of the emotions that are closely related to my origin and passion to offer irresistible. I intend to invite the world to a table where soft and comfortable tastes from the Himalayan cuisine are served with elegance. CYK Hospitalities was deeply involved in the process of making that dream happen, from concept creation to the development of a brand that feels both real and timeless.”

Pulkit Arora, Director & Culinary Expert, CYK Hospitalities, comments, “Every brand is a narrative that is just waiting to be unveiled. At Thamel, we have put our effort to create a place that is both very close and very high in the eye of the beholder, a place where genuineness meets flexibility. We intended to turn it into a spot that not only preserves the cuisines from the past but also embraces its future.”

Simran Jeet Singh, Director, CYK Hospitalities, says, “A project like Thamel demonstrates the changing F&B approach in India, where local identity mingles with global inquisitiveness. Our target was to locate a place with substantial footfalls and a place like AIPL Joy Central in Gurugram was a great option for Thamel.”

With Thamel, CYK Hospitalities strengthens its growing portfolio of restaurant concepts, emphasizing a balanced approach that connects culinary authenticity, business strategy, and market relevance. The launch underscores the firm’s ability to identify emerging dining trends and translate them into viable, long-term ventures within India’s competitive hospitality landscape.
