Can we think of Dunkin' without thinking of  Donuts?

The parent company Dunkin' is doing an experiment by naming one of its new outlet in Pasadena, California simply as Dunkin'. The company said it plans to do the same with some of the chain's other outlets too. The chain wants people to think of its stores as a destination for coffee, although it will still sell doughnuts.

Dunkin’ Donuts said it won’t make a decision on whether it will change its name until late next year, when it expects to start redesigning stores. News of the test was first reported by Nation’s Restaurant News.

The Indian unit of the US food chain is a joint venture betweenDunkin' Brands Group and India's Jubilant Foodworks, which also owns the franchise for Domino's Pizza.

It is however, interesting to note that in India the joint is branded as Dunkin’ Donuts and More.
