Mr. Mitra is the Senior Director – Human Resources at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, South Asia. His efforts in developing a sustainable competitive advantage of the talent capital within the Carlson Brand & in today’s hyper-competitive domestic environment are truly remarkable. He is of the firm view that knowledge development & deployment are truly the catalyst on being the front runner in any competitive scenario. His strengths are reflected in his ability to manage various human capital functions, concurrent handling of multiple issues and leading transformation.

Under Mr. Mitra’s stewardship, the Brand’s Human Resources has not only embarked upon various initiatives to enhance Employee journey within the Brand but also establish effective & proactive tools to drive various verticals within the function. He has successfully established an engaged work environment coupled with robust tools/practices in providing support to hotels in their pre-commissioned and commissioned stage.

Certain achievements to his credit include the ‘HR Leader of the Year 2012 – Special Jury Mention’ by Hotelier India and ‘3E Experience’ – a pre-opening toolkit for Asia Pacific.

He has managed year-on-year increased inventory of hotels as well as three-fold talent strength with notable & considerable improvement in performance standards with exemplified degree of customer centricity.

Apart from aggressively working towards achieving Carlson Rezidor’s Human Resource Goals of Ambition 2015 on Talent Attraction, Development & Retention, he is also now actively engaged in driving various Responsible Business initiatives aimed towards social, environmental & ethical causes with an aggressive focus on ‘Children at Risk’.
